Project Details
Description
Demonstration of the fabrication process for lightweight aerospace components utilising tailored blanks. The viability of this approach was exhibited for both aluminium parts via stretch-forming and titanium parts through superplastic forming. This was achieved through a combination of finite element modelling and practical experimentation.
