Project Details
Description
The main goal is to keep developing key capabilities for FutureForge, such as digital manufacturing and covering open, closed-die & isothermal forging processes which can be embedded in the AFRC FutureForge facility and learnings transferred to T1 members.
Key topic areas include the development of the digital FutureForge platform, microstructural and process modelling for open and closed-die forging, lubrication & coatings for hot die forging, FEA modelling of FutureForge furnaces, validation of FutureForge isothermal forging capabilities.
