Description
Thermal Finite Elements models of the superplastic forming (SPF) presses that we have at the AFRC were developed. Experimental temperature measurements were also taken in the presses and used for calibration and validation of the models. The analysis was used to understand better some thermal behaviours inside hot forming presses and explore potential improvements in areas such as thermal insulation.
