Description

The ARC project is an innovative project lead by Scottish Power Energy Networks and funded by Ofgem's Low Carbon Network Fund. The aim of the project is to accelerate the process and time for connection of renewable generation to the distribution network through Active Network Management and new and innovative commercial mechanism for linking local generation and demand through community energy schemes.
The University of Strathclyde is a partner in this project and is carrying out research, modelling and data analysis for better understanding of smart grid, active network management and community energy solutions.
