This award was presented by Prof. Sarah Sharples, Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department for Transport, in recognition of the work carried out on the WattRoutes project, funded through the Transport Research Innovation Grant programme delivered by Connected Places Catapult. The WattRoutes project investigated infrastructure requirements and key locations critical to the electrification of heavy goods vehicles in the UK.
