The Robertson Medal was awarded to the most outstanding candidate of 2020's competition for a Carnegie PhD Scholarship, on behalf of the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland. This celebrative silver medal was introduced in 2003 to honour the contribution of the retiring Chairman, Sir Lewis Robertson, who served the Trust for over 40 years.
