Description

Title of research proposal: Controlled Protein Entry into Nanopores Characterized by Surface Optical Spectroscopies The proposed project constitutes part of the applicant’s research in exploiting polymer functionalized nanoporous membranes to enable selective transport of (bio)molecules into artificial nanopores. The proposed project takes advantage of the host institute’s expertise in in situ optical sensing of biointerfaces, for characterizing, in real time and with high sensitivity, the transit/exclusion of proteins into the nanopores that are being developed in the applicant’s laboratory.
