JCI Ten Outstanding Young People of Scotland Award

  • Wilson, Andrew (Recipient)

Prize: National/international honour

Description

In March 2019, I was named as one of JCI's Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) of Scotland for my contribution to scientific and technological development. The TOYP awards began in 1983 as a global JCI project to recognise and honour young people who excel in their chosen field. JCI is a global, not-for-profit organisation for 18 to 40 year olds which seeks to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. The organisation operates in 124 different countries worldwide, with each member state having their own national TOYP awards. Having won a TOYP Scotland award, I was then put forward with the opportunity to represent Scotland at the global TOYP awards in Tallin (Estonia) at the JCI World Congress in November 2019.
