Excellence in Engineering Education Award 2024–25 – Novel Teaching and Learning Activities (Innovative Practice)

Awarded by the University of Strathclyde Faculty of Engineering in recognition of the innovative integration of virtual reality into undergraduate Ship Stability teaching. The VR-based inclining test activity has enhanced experiential learning, student engagement, satisfaction and the quality of student work, while supporting the wider development of VR teaching facilities within the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering.
