As part of Aston’s 50th anniversary celebrations, Aston University will award 50 named Chairs from 2016 to 2026. These Chairs are given to leading academics and recognise outstanding scholarship and commitment to the University. This award noted my significant contribution to furthering scholarship in their chosen discipline. It also noted that my impact was not only wide-reaching externally, but also makes a huge difference within the University through my willingness to do things differently, and through my commitment to Aston. Furthermore, it noted my proactive approach to collaboration across Schools and disciplines, helping to embed positive culture change.
