Personal Statement

Dr. Fei is a postdoctoral research associate with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. He is working on the development of automated decision support systems for remote visual inspection, a research project funded by the Advanced Nuclear Research Centre (ANRC).

Before joining the University of Strathclyde, he worked as a senior EMC engineer at Eurofins York Ltd, providing bespoke solutions for many aspects of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) including Legislation, Research, Management and Training.

He received the B.Eng. degree in Electronics and Information Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, in 2012, an M.Sc. degree (Distinction) in Wireless Communications from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2013, and a Ph.D. degree from High-Frequency Engineering Research Group at the University of Liverpool, Liverpool, U.K., in 2018. His doctoral research concerned numerical and experimental studies of crosstalk in complex cable bundles, with a particular emphasis on considering parameter variability using efficient statistical approaches.
