Mr. William Souza is Research Associate in the Stephen Young Institute for International Business. William is passionate about understanding how manufacturers and external partners join forces across global value chains to implement innovative solutions to overcome the problems of resource scarcity and environmental impacts linked to economic activities. During his research journey, William has investigated how Brazilian manufacturers incorporate environmental and social practices at the operational and supply chain levels. With a focus on developing countries, William will pursue research on how circular economy and eco-innovation practices can support companies in creating operations in which valuable resources are not wasted, company profitability is maintained, and environmental impacts are prevented or strongly minimized. William holds a BSc in Production Engineering and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering. He is a final year PhD student in the Department of Marketing at Strathclyde Business School.
