Wenlong is a research associate in Department of Design, Manufacture, Engineering Management at University of Strathclyde (Glasgow). Currently he aims to develop a hybrid machine which integrates micro milling, micro turning, micro grinding and laser machining at an EPSRC project. He obtained his Ph.D. in School of Engineering and Physical Science at Herriot-Watt University in 2012. From 2005 to 2008, he was an Engineer in Metal Industries Research & Development Centre and handles the investigations about the Ultra Short Pulse Pico-second Laser Machine. From 2012 to 2014, he was a section manager in Advanced Material Systems and develops several types of Nickel Plating machines. He cooperates with many companies, including Renishaw, STMicroeletronics, Spanoptic, and many companies in Taiwan.
