Personal Statement
I received my PhD in Psychobiology in 2016 from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil). Before joining the University of Strathclyde, I worked as a research associate on the ERC-funded project "How do Humans Recognise Kin?" led by professor Lisa DeBruine at the Insitute of Neuroscience and Psychology - University of Glasgow. I also worked as a research associate in the EPSRC-funded project "Designing Conversational Assistants to Reduce Gender Bias" led by Prof Benedict Jones at the University of Strathclyde. I started as a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Strathclyde in August 2022. My research interests include prosocial behavior, behavioral endocrinology, evolutionary psychology, and social perception. I am also passionate about open science practices and quantitative methods.
