Personal Statement

I am a scholar, academic leader, and researcher in social sciences, with interest in youth, sexuality, and well-being. I enjoy teaching at all academic levels, mentoring students, conducting participative research, and transferring results to diverse communities and stakeholders, aiming to contribute to a more inclusive society. I have developed most of my academic, leadership, and consultant experience in interdisciplinary teams in Latin America. I am passionate about being part of an inspiring learning environment that encourages critical thinking, diversity, interdisciplinary collaboration, respect, and a commitment to social justice.

Teaching Interests

I have experience teaching undergraduate courses in psychology, communication & media studies, law, and education & social services, and in graduate programmes in the areas of health psychology, family studies, public policy, and public health. My teaching areas of interest include sociology and social theory, qualitative methods of research, sexual & reproductive health, and leadership & management within social organizations. I enjoy mentoring and tutoring dissertations and student research projects.
