I am a PhD candidate since February 2017. I joined the Department of Mechanical Marketing Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde as a PhD student researcher. Prior to February 2017, I was an Assistant Officer, a permanent full-time job in the UK government, but because of my part-time PhD study, the job changed to part-time. I got my BSc in Computing Networking and System Engineering (2.1) in June 2013 and my MSc in Advanced Computer Networking Engineering in November 2014 from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Seven years ago, the research interest in clean energy systems and low carbon building design 2015 started. Without any funding and supervision support for an independent researcher, it knew then that it needed to do something to keep up with the pace of innovation in the built environment and clean local energy.
This is a very important and interesting high-tech and engineering work during my PhD study. Hence one of the reasons that I need to secure an IP as soon as possible. As known in many fields, IP and patents are sensitive and important as a matter of time and date. I can see one question all my potential investors will ask me: Does the company own the IP?
AB projects in a big picture from implicit to make it explicit including;
Energy-autonomous building modelling - These types of buildings can improve building energy performance and shake the markets locally, nationally and on a global scale. The path to Autonomous Buildings (ABs) requires two high-tech tools: 1) a building simulation tool (i.e. ESP-r), and 2) a custom sizing tool for energy generation and energy storage.
This sizing tool is one of the competitive advantages (IP required) and will help developers, architects and government(s) to meet their obligation and green targets through energy-housing development.
- Unlike current building modelling that relies on gas and energy grid, our building modelling is zero energy, zero carbon, zero grid and zero energy bills (ZZZZ).
- Decarbonisation, digitalisation, democratisation and decentralisation (DDDD) energy.
- Healthier indoor buildings and adding no pollution outdoor buildings create clearer and healthier air condition for all.
- AB value increasingly interests governments, green business and technology leadership, the green party and their supporters, environmentalist, individuals and funders.
- AB value is not only about reducing energy and housing emissions, but also managing the best use of ambient resources which can be wider green creations and green business benefits to building the environment and green transport too.
The above values can promote Scotland and AB to support its mission and vision, and represent carbon reductions and energy efficiency interests both in the UK and overseas.
Strategies for Public & Private value chains & Transitioning to Net Zero - Transportation Interests
During my PhD study, I added zero-emission-mobility (ZEM) into autonomous buildings (ABs) projects that cover private and public electric vehicles (EVs). Hence, the reason electric car manufacturers will be interested as the next business partners, SMEs, and construction companies (B2B and B2C) for ABs applications locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
ABs projects are beyond energy homes because ABs modelling and (ZEM) can help many individual customers, EVs and end-users, home buyers, government(s), etc.
