Personal Statement
A disciplined and hardworking graduate student with a first-class honour’s degree, MRes and currently pursuing a
PHD in the Biomedical cancer research field. I have both studied and worked for over 8 years in many varying job
positions which has allowed me to gain experience as well as develop several key skills making me a well-rounded
individual. University has taught me independent study, time management, organisation, and a drive to succeed.
My different job positions have taught me team building skills, professionalism, confidence, and responsibility. I’ve
been able to take parts of my professional career into my academic career and vice versa and both have helped me
become a confident, driven adult who is interested in following a career path in teaching in an academic
environment.
Research Interests
Having spent the majority of my time researching novel combination therapies for Glioblastoma, I have a keen interest to continue the work. I'm currently working on publishing two papers for glioblastoma where we have found a novel repurposed drug combination which looks promising. Additionally I'm looking for collaborative work involving 3D models and liposomes

Teaching Interests
I have taken on a role as a teaching assistant recently, where I am helping teach lectures, create exam papers, mark student work, coordinate classes and managing Masters research projects.
