Richard is currently studying for a PhD in energy network flexibility at the University of Strathclyde.

Prior to joining Strathclyde he worked in industry as a Chartered Chemical Engineer, working across systems engineering and design functions in the nuclear industry, capital project feasibility and construction in the renewables sector, and consulted to UK government programme managing the technical services for industrial decarbonisation policy delivery.
