Personal Statement

As part of an AI research group, I contribute to the exploration of Artificial Intelligence's role in enhancing information retrieval for Intangible Asset Auditing in cooperation with the University of Strathclyde and Intanify, a partner company, funded by Innovate UK with a total grant value of £550k. 

My PhD research resided in An Investigation of Estimation Performance for a Multivariate Poisson-Gamma Model with Parameter Dependency. I was looking at the options of improving the reliability of a product in development. In order to progress the technological advancement of mechanical products, I was supporting the effort to address the reliability of products via statistical modelling and the empirical Bayesian methodology.

In general, I am interested in the use of mathematical methods in engineering, technology and innovation with a keen interest in including economical evaluations.

Teaching Interests

My teaching experience as a tutor leans towards the use of Statistics within Risk. I was tutoring the class Risk Management repeatedly and with joy. It is use to model risk within areas like supply chain, transportation and health. Techniques like fault trees or BBNs are used.

I undertook also tutoring for the class Spreadsheet Modelling and Demand Forecasting. The class showed the use spreadsheets for forecasting, simulation, optimisation and data analysis. The module explored the development of macros with VBA.

My tutor support for the class Foundations of Business Analysis & Technology consisted in developing and understanding tools that help reduce costs, increase revenues, improve customer service and increase efficiency. Between used techniques can be mentioned the development of a MCDA model, performation of a SWOT analysis and Break-Even calculations.

Industrial Relevance

In the BSc program engaged in the project on Predictive Model on Panel Data for the groceries and general merchandise retailer Kaufland. Specifically, demand forecasting of fresh fruit and vegetables for the Czech Republic.
