Personal Statement
I completed my MSc degree in Engineering Physics at Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon, Portugal). I then spent four years conducting research in microfluidics at NOVA School of Science and Technology (NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal), before earning my PhD in Physics/ Photonics from University of Strathclyde (UK). Currently, my research at the Institute of Photonics focuses on:
- Self-assembly of nanocrystals into supraparticles, for laser applications;
- Supraparticles and their applications in integrated photonics, communication, biosensing and photocatalysis.
