Personal profile
Personal Statement
I am a Teaching Fellow in the Pharmacy Practice team with SIPBS. My principle remit is in developing and delviering Experiential Learning for MPharm students during their 4 years of study. This is a particularly exciting time for EL in Pharmacy. Due to funding made available from the Scottish Government (ACTp -Additional Costs of Teaching in Pharmacy) for Experiential Learning the EL content of the undergraduate course is changing from 4 weeks in 2020/21 to 11 weeks in 2024/25. Working with NHS Education for Scotland and RGU and external partners, I am engaged in devloping the content of the EL and helping create the necessary capacity of providers in providing the EL. This also requires me to work closely with class co-ordinators within the MPharm to make this fit in to the timetable. This also fits in with development of prescribing skills within the MPharm degree too. In addition I am also engaed in delivering other Pharmacy Practice classes in the Mpharm and in teaching in the Independent prescribing Course and MSc in Clinical Pharmacy. I supervise projecs by Y5 and MSc students.
