Personal Statement

Open Access Advocacy Librarian at the University of Strathclyde Library Scholarly Publications and Research Data (SPRD) team. Passionate about Open Research and research information workflows and management systems (RIMS/CRIS). Pablo also serves as Board member (since 2013) and Technical Secretary (since 2018) for the Netherlands-based euroCRIS non-profit association to promote collaboration across the research information management community. In recent years he has occasionally worked as a consultant with his scidecode colleagues in Germany. In this capacity, he coauthored the cOAlition S report "Galvanising the Open-Access Community: A Study on the Impact of Plan S" and the Knowledge Exchange report “Building the plane as we fly it: the promise of Persistent Identifiers” and its seven associated case studies.

Pablo serves as a reviewer for journals like MDPI Publications, the CODATA Data Science Journal (DSJ) and the MIT Quantitative Science Studies (QSS). He has recently joined the editorial committee of the newly-launched Scottish Journal of Open Research (SJOR).
