Personal Statement

Profile:

Dr Olga Ganilova graduated from Zaporizhzhya National University (Ukraine) in 2005 where she was awarded a Masters degree with Honours in Applied Mathematics. She was awarded her Ph.D. in ‘Deformable Solid Mechanics’ at Zaporizhzhya National University on completion of the programme in 2008 and as a result of a public defence. Olga Ganilova held the post of Postdoctoral Research Assistant from 2008 till 2012 at the University of Glasgow, School of Engineering. She was a Lecturer in Dynamics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield from 2012 till 2016, and then joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in 2016, and is currently holding the post of Teaching Associate.

-Application of Smart Materials in Biomedical, Automotive, and Aerospace Engineering

-Vibration and Energy harvesting
