Personal Statement

Hijaaj is a Ph.D. researcher in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. His research, co-sponsored by Rolls-Royce Plc and National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), is related to developing a framework for efficient design and manufacture of multifunctional (MF) composite material for its application in aircraft structure. To achieve this, his focus is on aircraft electrical-thermal-structural systems, addressing the challenges of systems integration at high power levels with composite material, supporting early-stage selection of MF composites for consistent and repeatable manufacture at scale.
