I welcome interest from potential PhD students on social class and labour market outcomes.
I joined the University of Strathclyde as a Chancellor’s Fellow in the Scottish Centre for Employment Research in August 2025. Prior to this I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Economic and Social Research Institute. My primary research interests are social class and labour market outcomes. I help with the Department of Work, Employment and Organisation’s PhD programme and welcome interest from potential PhD students on my primary research interests.
I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Glasgow, and during this carried out research visits at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and the University of Sydney. I was awarded the Hughes Hallett Scholarship for the academic year 2022-23. I hold a Masters of Research in Sociology & Research Methods and a BA (Hons) in Accountancy. I previously worked as an Associate Tutor and Research Assistant at the University of Glasgow, Researcher at the University of Strathclyde, Occasional Lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University and Research Officer at the Scottish Government.
