Personal profile

Personal Statement

I joined the law school in September 2020 after completing a PhD in Law at the University of Cambridge. My research focuses on constitutional theory and jurisprudence with a particular focus on common law theory and the natural law.

My doctoral thesis focused on the concept of equality before the law and its relationship to the rule of law. I am particularly interested in the role that equal dignity plays with legal reasoning generally and within common law constitutionalism in particular. Recently, my research has begun to focus on ideas of the Common Good and how they might inform constitutional theory.

I currently teach accross all Public Law modules as well as Law and Society.
