A 20+ year career in initially software development of computer control systems for Oil & Gas assets, and latterly people, project and department management in the Oil & Gas Industry.
In the last few years I've moved into Project Management roles in research & development.
I worked for 3 years at The Oil & Gas Innovation Centre (OGIC); a Scottish government funded agency focused on promotion and development of collaborative Industry/academic research projects developing new technologies and ideas for the Oil & Gas and wider Energy Industries utilising University-based research capabilities, before joining Strathclyde's Oil & Gas Institute in a similar role in December 2019.
My current role in the University is Project Development Manager.
My focus is on facilitating academic/industry collaboration and specifically identifying, developing and helping to run projects to develop new technologies and ways of working for energy production and use.
With the Energy Transition now in full flow, this is increasingly exploring how Oil & Gas expertise coupled with excellent research capability in Strathclyde can be applied to more sustainable energy production and use.
