Research Interests
Water-rich countries like Scotland rarely suffer from droughts, yet global warming is also changing Scotland's otherwise abundant water availability. Adding to the uncertainty of climate change on Scotland's water resources is humans' strong and diffuse influence. Especially in water-rich countries, water is taken for granted and considered endless, leading to wasteful use. I am exploring the increasing demand for water from industry and households in Scotland, which sooner or later conflicts with future water availability in dry periods.
