Personal profile

Personal Statement

I am a lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Strathclyde and a Research Associate at the the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM), University College London.
I am an applied economist and my research interests are development economics, economics of conflict, economics of religion, and economics of migration. My current research focuses on the determinants and consequences of conflict. I am particularly interested in factors that lead to conflict and in how violence can impact individuals' welfare with a particular focus on children. In another project, I analyse the effect of the religious and cultural enviornment on health outcomes of children.
