Personal profile
Personal Statement
I am a Teaching Associate at the Strathclyde Institute for Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS). I hold an Honours degree in Chemistry, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis, and a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Strathclyde.
I am the Course Coordinator for the MSc programmes in Advanced Drug Delivery, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. My teaching focuses on pharmaceutical analysis and formulation at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I supervise MSc and undergraduate research projects, as well as PhD students. My research interests include enhancing the solubility of poorly water-soluble drugs through amorphous formulations, and conducting chromatographic analysis using HPLC/MS and GC-MS techniques.
In addition, I am the lead contact for the Strathclyde/Shimadzu Centre of Excellence laboratory, where I support research groups within SIPBS with their analytical work.
