Personal Statement

I received BSc and MSc degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and my PhD degree from Unversity of Strathclyde with my thesis entitled,  'The Development of a Real-time Wave Energy Device Control Algorithm Based on Artifical Neural Network'. My research areas mainly focus on three aspects: marine hydrodynamics, with an emphasis on multi-bodies interaction with consideration of forward speed; hybrid offshore floating renewable energy system (wind, wave and current); real-time control of wave energy converter, with the primary objective of tackling the non-causality. Currently, I am a research associate at the University of Strathclyde.
