Personal Statement

I am a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Economics. I obtained my PhD in Economics from the University of Strathclyde in June 2018. In 2021 I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.  My research interests include education economics and the economics of education.

I am happy to supervise suitably qualified PhD students in these areas; please get in touch if you wish to discuss a potential research project.

Teaching Interests

I am Honours Year Coordinator for the Department of Economics and class coordinator for EC315 Topics in Microeconomics with Cross Section Econometrics, EC951 Analysis of Economic Data, EC969 Analysis of Economic Data (online) and EC975 Economic Data Analysis.

Academic / Professional qualifications

In 2021 I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. 

In 2021 I obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from the University of Strathclyde. 

Research Interests

 My research interests include education economics, economics of education and pedagogy in higher education.
