Personal Statement

I am a PhD researcher with the Rolls-Royce UTC in the Department for Electronic and Electrical Engineering. I joined the University in 2016 and graduated with the MEng in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with Distinction in June 2021.

My research will focus primarily on the design of resilient and reliable electrical power systems in more electric and hybrid electric aircraft. These non-conventional aircraft variants are seen as vital stepping stones to the achieve low carbon air travel.

Teaching Interests

I act as a Teaching Assistant for a number of classes within the department:

  • EE105, EM105 - Electronic and Electrical/Mechanical Techniques and Design I
  • EE269 - Electronic and Electrical Principles II
  • EE313, EM301 - Engineering Analysis

Academic / Professional qualifications

I am professionally registered with the Institution of Engineering and Technology. 

I am a Student Member with the IEEE, and currently affiliated with the Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) and the Power and Energy Society (PES).

I am a Student Member with SAE.
