Teaching Interests
I manage the design and delivery of research-integrated teaching at honours and masters level in the subject area of Spanish, with specialism in translation and interpreting. My learing and teaching methodology is based on and informed by my pedagogical skillset (gained through HEA Fellowship and PGDE in Secondary MFL Education of German and Spanish) and my current research in modern foreign languages (MFL) pedagogy (with translation) and language policy and strategy.
My professional industry experience using translation and interpreting, together with my multidisciplinary academic background in nineteenth-century Latin American socio-political history and Translation Studies also enables me to provide a unique contribution to the teaching of Culture classes and specialised translation and interpreting courses.
