Personal profile

Personal Statement

My primary research interest lies in active mobility and its potential to mitigate the environmental impacts of transport-related greenhouse gas emissions. I am particularly focused on understanding the mechanisms that facilitate behavioural change and promote a modal shift toward more sustainable modes of travel.

I am interested in exploring how community-based active travel initiatives can foster community empowerment and contribute to more equitable public policy.

Currently, I am conducting research on the typologies of international bike bus models, with the aim of identifying the forms of support necessary to sustain, expand, and enhance participation in bike buses.  I participated in the first Global Bike Bus Research Workshop (February, 2025), attended the Bike Bus Summit in Frankfurt (June 2024) and the Bike Bus Summit in Worcester (April 2025). I am seeking other opportunities to further engage with emerging international practices and bike bus networks.

I am a member of the Active Mobility Hub and Just Transition Researcher group at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
