Dr Jun Ye is a lecturer of Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Before joining the University of Strathclyde, he was a research fellow in the Steel Structures Group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Imperial College London. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. He is engaged in teaching and learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specialist advisory work and leading a research team in Steel and Composite Structural Design, Infrastructure Intelligence and Maintenance. His principal research interests, in respect of which he has co-authored more than 40 papers, lie in the areas of structural testing, numerical modelling, design and stability of steel and composite structures, robot construction, sensors and intelligent infrastructure. He aims to the development of new solutions to civil and structural engineering practice with industry partners and academic collaborators.
Dr Jun Ye is always open to welcoming undergraduate, master and PhD students, visiting students and research staffs to his research group for collaborative work.
