Personal Statement

Joseph El Gemayel joined the University of Strathclyde as Teaching Fellow at the department of Computer and Information Sciences from 24th Aug 2020. He is a Ph.D. holder in Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence from the University of Toulouse – France since 2013.

Joseph El Gemayel has been teaching for more than ten years at different Universities such as the University of Toulouse – France, Lebanese University – Faculty of Science - Lebanon, and others. In addition, he was the Chairperson of Computer Science and Information Technology programs at the American University of Technology (AUT) – Lebanon, and the head of the Registrar’s office at the American University of Technology – Lebanon from September 2014 to August 2020.

His interest is in building Autonomous Adaptive and Self-Learners Multi-Agent Systems. Furthermore, he is interested in the development and the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques with special focus on game-based learning, applications for education, and robotics.
