Personal profile
Personal Statement
I am a Teaching Associate and Outreach Officer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. I started my post in February 2022 after having completed both my Honours and PhD degrees also at Strathclyde.
As a Teaching Associate, I mainly teach first and second year mathematics classes, including first year mathematics service classes. I teach mathematics classes for engineering students on Graduate Apprenticeship (GA) degrees and am the Mathematics STEM Summer School Coordinator. I also supervise mathematics Honours projects and Data Analytics Masters projects.
As the Outreach Officer, I actively run workshops at both primary and secondary schools. These focus on showcasing the real world applications of mathematics and statistics with the aim of encouraging students to study a science subject at university.
