Personal profile

Personal Statement

I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) and Chancellor's Fellow in Ethics and Political Philosophy. I joined the University of Strathclyde in January 2024.

I completed my DPhil/PhD at the University of Oxford in 2023, under the supervision of David Miller FBA and Jonathan Wolff FBA. I was also a Rhodes Scholar and Lecturer in Political Theory at the University of Oxford.

I specialise in moral and political philosophy, especially in theories of social, global, and distributive justice and their application to debates in health and public policy. My work on these themes has appeared in the Journal of Ethicsthe Critical Review of International Social and Political Philosophy (CRISPP), the Journal of Bioethical Inquiry, and the Journal of Value Inquiry, among other venues.

I have won several awards for my academic research and teaching, including the Rhodes Scholarship, the Jacobsen Studentship Prize (Royal Institute of Philosophy), and a Recognition of Excellence in Teaching Award (University of Oxford).
