Personal profile
Personal Statement
After an MA in British and American history and literature from François Rabelais University in Tours in France in 2005, I joined the Department of Modern Languages at Strathclyde in September 2007 as Teaching assistant in French. After becoming Teaching Associate in 2014, I was promoted to Teaching Fellow in 2023, recognising my delivery of excellent teaching and exciting knowledge exchange activities. Over the years I collaborated with local secondary schools and SCILT to promote language learning, invited guests to Q&A events for our students and did translation work for several MOOC courses run by CELCIS. Alongside my commitment to my undergraduate students, I also teach French classes at the CLL (Centre for Lifelong Learning).
Since 2018 I've been the coordinator of Introduction to French 1a/1b (R1109/R1110) that allows students from all faculties to study French in a positive yet challenging learning environment. For several years I was the coordinator of 2nd year French (R1203/4) and during the COVID pandemic I was head of the newly created 4th year intercalary course (R1324) for the cohort that could not go abroad and got tailored online classes instead.
After I complete in spring 2023 the Understanding KE module to obtain the PgCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, I will apply to become Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
I am one of two Learning and Teaching representatives of the Gender Equality Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) committee of the School of Humanities of the Hass Faculty.
