Personal profile
Personal Statement
Prior to joining the University of Strathclyde as a PhD researcher, I have been a consultant, trainer, and speaker who works with schools, universities, charities, and businesses to support them in creating more diverse, equitable, and inclusive spaces. My work specialises in LGBT+ inclusion, and transgender awareness.
With my colleague Dr Adam Brett, I co-founded Pride & Progress: a podcast, platform, and community group amplifying the voices of LGBT+ educators, and explore ways to make our educational spaces more inclusive. This work is collated in our award-winning book: Pride & Progress: Making Schools LGBT+ Inclusive Spaces.
My PhD will explore LGBT+ networks as a catalyst for employee voice and intersectional representation in the workplace.
