Personal Statement

Dr. Jie Zhao is a research associate and project manager in the Centre for Precision Manufacturing, the University of Strathclyde, UK. She has more than 11 years research experiences in Materials Forming Technology, Micro-Manufacturing, Tool and Machine Design, Manufacturing System Technology, etc. She is the lead researcher for many funded projects and have been working with more than 40 partners cross Europe. She has published more than 20 high quality papers and 2 book chapters. She is the lead administrator for organising the 4th International Conference on New Forming Technology (ICNFT2015). She is actively involving in researching, teaching and knowledge exchange, and became a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2014.
