Personal Statement

I am a PhD student t the University of Strathclyde looking at the global energy potenitals of offshore renewable energy and the impact of changing climates.

My research focuses on a cross-resource comparision of theoretical energhy potenitals using standarized units. The aim is determine the magnitude of all resource types, quantify variablity in energy potential and identify gaps both in locations and methodologies by resource types that are shown to have signfigiant energy potentials. T

My research is supervised by Dr. Chris White (University of Strathclyde) with additional supervision by department head Prof Vernon Phoenix (University of Strathclyde). The research is also in close collaboration with Dr. Lauren Ross (University of Maine).

Expertise related to UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  • SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy
