Personal Statement
I am a Human Geography doctoral student investigating peasantry settlements and livelihoods in the Brazilian Amazon. My research mainly focuses on analysing the role of the peasant's land ownership, organisation, and strategies to maintain their reproduction as a social class.
Research Interests
Agrarian Issues in Brazil and Latin America; Land Struggles, Territory Disputes, Land Reform; Peasantry, Peasant Settlements, and the Amazon.
Academic / Professional qualifications
PhD student in the Human Geography Program at the University of São Paulo (estimated completion date: Jan 2026). He holds a Master's degree in Geography from the Federal University of Goiás (2018) and a Professional Educator License in Geography from the University of Pará State (Brazil, 2015).
