Personal Statement

Her research interests have encompassed optimization, metaheuristics, soft computing techniques, and their applications in supply chain management, specifically in routing planning and transportation of perishable food. Her current research interests include behavioural modelling, simulation modelling, and virtual reality to enhance occupational safety.

Furthermore, her main body of work is interdisciplinary, bringing elements of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences, Bayesian statistics, Economics, and AI techniques to predict Human-behaviour towards safety, and assist organizations in creating and maintaining safer workplaces. She is working specifically on the integration of agent-based modelling and simulation with machine learning techniques to approximate human-decision making process. She is also interested in the design of serious games for the elicitation of risk-taking preferences.
