Mr
My interest for the future and the shipping industry stem from two passions of mine. These are in essence the expansion of the human mind - analysing the past, observing the current and envisaging the future- and the advancement of civilisations through water-based transport that has been developing thousands of years. It is an exciting time to live and research and more exciting to see how it will progress in the decades to come.
My ambition is to discover and develop foresight resources to build on and expand the capabilities of the shipping industry. This is reflected within my doctoral research where I combine foresight (scenario planning in particular) with Design Thinking.
As a seasoned researcher, I am experienced in both qualitative and quantitative research. I use novel methods in data synthesis of secondary sources and I have a passion for discovering new methods. My current side project aims to build onto an effective approach to generate a meta-shipping scenario to assist with the researchers and professionals in the field.
