I received my Diploma in electrical engineering and computer science from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, in 2012. After that I received my Ph.D. degree in physics from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, U.K., in 2016 for my research on the ultrafast nonlinear optics of graphene and ultrafast laser inscription (ULI) of waveguides in chalcogenide glasses for infrared applications. Since 2016 I am research associate at the Institute of Photonics where I participate in the EPSRC project "Fibre-laser pumped diamond Raman lasers for LIDAR and clear plastics welding" (EP/P00041X/1) by leading the clear plastics welding strand. My research interests evolv around solid-state laser engineering with particular focus in diamond Raman lasers.
