Personal Statement
Fulin Fan received the B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic and electrical engineering from North China Electric Power University, Baoding, China, and the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, U.K., in 2012 and 2018, respectively. From 2016 to 2018, he was a Research Assistant with the University of Strathclyde, where he has been a Research Associate since 2018.
He has been collaborating with academic and industrial partners to develop algorithms for energy system modelling, forecasting, scheduling and optimisation. His research interests include real-time thermal rating forecasting for overhead lines, electric traction system modelling, and energy storage system scheduling and optimisation.
