Personal profile

Personal Statement

I joined the University of Strathclyde in 2017 as a Teaching Associate in Gaelic Education.

I graduated in 2012 with an MA (Hons) Gaelic with Education from the University of Aberdeen. I was then employed as a teacher of Gaelic at Hazlehead Academy, Aberdeen, and latterly Grange Academy in Kilmarnock, where I had overall responsibility for the department.

I have experience within Gaelic assessments at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher levels, and have worked with SQA as both an examination writer and marker. From 2013-2017, I was Deputy Lead Verfier for the Gaidhlig national qualifications.

I am currently undertaking a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Gaelic Medium Education.
