Personal Statement
I am Human Factors and Ergonomics researcher in the Naval Architecture, Ocean and Marine Engineering department. My academic background combines disciplines of Cognitive Ergonomics (PhD), New technologies (MSc) and Environmental Science (Laurea magistralis).
Research Interests
My research activities are orientated towards new technologies and human factors for purposes of occupational safety.
Expertise & Capabilities
I have experience working on EU-OSHA and WHO projects covering thematics of inequalities of risk and injuries at work, and musculoskeletal disorders at work. I have written and presented several scientific papers and technical reports, dedicated to Safety Standards, New technologies in occupational settings, Lifelong learning courses for Safety, Human Reliability Analysis, and neuro-ergonomics approaches.
Academic / Professional qualifications
Chartered ergonomist by Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors since 2020. Outstanding reviewer of the journal Safety Science since 2018.
